NOW HIRING - FIELD REPRESENTATIVE

JOB SUMMARY: This position will require supervising our recreational league games, field operations, referees and coaches at the designated field location on Saturdays from roughly 8:00am-5:00pm during our seasons. We are looking for a person for our Fall 2024 season starting Sept 7th and running 8-10 weeks, with additional hours a couple weeks before the season starts. We have field locations in MA and NH and will need an individual at each field. This position can also carry over to our Fall and Winter leagues.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING:

· CPR and First Aid certified preferred

· Experience in sports setting

· Current Driver’s License required

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be at least 21 years of age

· Understanding of NFL flag football rules and procedures

· Must be able to work Saturdays throughout the season. Additional hours will be needed before the season starts for prep.

· Must be able to effectively communicate with field personnel and with administrative staff

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

· Ability to recognize safety concerns and take necessary actions to ensure a safe environment

· Must be able to interact positively with athletes, parents, fans, coaches and other staff personnel and make decisions using good judgement

· Ability to work independently and solve problems without direct supervision

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES

Game Day:

  • Pick up field equipment and prepare fields for play by setting up necessary equipment and scoreboards.
  • Learn NFL Flag Rules
  • Examine fields to make sure they are ready for play
  • Pick up all trash left on the field at the end of the day, return all equipment to their designated places
  • Be a point of contact by directing parents, coaches and athletes and answering questions and concerns in a professional manner. To be there for officials if needed, ex. upset fans, coaches parents.
  • Sell mouthguards at the field table
  • Close up fields, bring equipment back to shop.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

  • Referees must be min 14-years-old.
  • Referees must set up a StackOfficials account to be scheduled and paid. You will be sent an invitation to Stack once you pass the referee exam. You need to attach a bank account for direct deposit prior to being scheduled.
  • All referees are required to become an NFL Flag certified official, instructions on how to do so are below.

NFL Flag Referee Certification Process 

Certification Process- It says you need to be 17 to join, this is only to officiate in NFL Flag regional and national tournaments, you do not need to be 17 to officiate in our league.

1.      Go to www.nflflag.com

2.      Click the “Officials” tab to the far right of the page.

3.      Scroll down and find the section “Join the Referee Registry.”

a.       Click the “JOIN HERE” tab.

4.      Click the “Create an Account” tab.

a.       Have a card available as this is when you will pay the $25.00 registration/membership fee.

5.      Complete the three steps in the “Get Certified” Section

6.      Once completed you will receive your certification.
